(SatBK) Fan Art - Emperor Charlemagne

Holy sh*t! Another one? And wait, is that... Mighty?!
Yes, I drew another Sonic and the Black Knight character Fan Art, specifically I drew Mighty the Armadillo as Charlemagne, the Emperor of the Romans. For those who don't know, this is also me making something based off of someone else's idea, specifically and their spectacular Camelot Characters series, which are also apparently in a sort of comic series. Neat.
Anyways, some of you may be asking "but why is Mighty the Armadillo Charlemagne?" and I shall reply "it's basically part of an idea I came up with for a sort of post-game thing for Sonic and the Black Knight, or maybe even a sort of sequel?
Nah.
Anyways, to put it simply, after you'd have beaten the game you'd be able to battle against three knights you didn't fight in-game, those being Sir Lamorak (Jet the Hawk), Sir Galahad (Silver the Hedgehog) and finally Sir Tristan (Bark the Bear). However, after defeating those three, you'd start encountering mysterious beings similar to the dark monsters the fake King Arthur was using but instead of being made from darkness are made of light and appear to be holy in some way, though they're still invading the kingdom so... yeah, time to fight back. However, eventually you encounter one of three characters based off of the playable characters from Knuckles Chaotix, specifically being Ariosto of the Shadows (Espio the Chameleon), Boiardo of the Wind (Charmy the Bee) and finally Roland of the Earth (Vector the Crocodile). Each would wield a weapon that would fit their personas, with Ariosto wielding a Ninjato, Boiardo wielding a Dagger and Crossbow and Roland wielding a massive Claymore. The Knights of the Round table, wanting to defend the true King Arthur (Sonic the Hedgehog) each challenge one of these Paladins to a duel, which the Paladins accept as they are simply here to test this kingdom's skill and honour.
Sir Percival (Blaze the Cat) would battle Ariosto, Sir Lancelot (Shadow the Hedgehog) would battle Roland due to him thinking that Boiardo was merely a Squire and would force Sir Gawain (Knuckles the Echidna) to battle him. 
Please note, if I were in charge of designing the battles, I'd make Boiardo's fight the hardest.
After all of the duels end, the three Paladins meet together with the three knights there and Sonic just sort of standing behind them, wishing he could have fought them. They briefly discuss that they were sent by their mighty Emperor to test the skill and honour of this land. Sonic then asks them "That's nice and all, but who is this Emperor you keep mentioning?"
Then, behind them, climbing over a nearby hill and standing atop it with his blade drawn appears Charlemagne with all three of the Paladins shouting in shock "L-Lord Charlemagne!"
Charlemagne, thinking that his Paladins were defeated and were going to be captured and slain draws his blade and, as fast as Sonic, knocks down and disarms all three of the Knights of the Round Table. Sonic, not used to seeing people as fast as him, lifts his blade and points it at him.
Charlemagne glares at Sonic with an immense seriousness. "I shall not allow you to harm my Paladins, King Arthur. Now I shall duel you for the lives of my strongest Paladins. Now fear the might of my blade, Durendahl!" He says, throwing off his cape and entering a ready position with his blade. Sonic smirks. "Heh, well, I wasn't expecting someone as fast as me to be in this world, but I'm definitely in the mood for a battle! So lets go, Charlemagne!"
Sonic and Charlemagne battle throughout three phases. First a regular battle between a boss character and you. Secondly would have Charlemagne begin using his holy magics against you, with the two constantly snarking and throwing less than serious insults at each other. Then, after Sonic defeats him in his Second phase, he smiles. "Well well, you are quite the mighty one, King Arthur. However, let us see if you can keep up... with this!" He then, using the power of his sword, transforms into what is basically a silver version of Excalibur Sonic. Sonic smirks. "Well, you asked me to!" Sonic releases the power of Excalibur, transforming into Excalibur Sonic. This would make the third phase a battle between what I call 'Templar Mighty/Charlemagne' and Excalibur Sonic, who would control just as he did in the final boss, though with a much more challenging battle.
Eventually, Sonic would defeat Charlemagne and he would be kneeling on the ground, weak and still trying to fight.
"I... cannot lose... I cannot let you take the lives of my Paladins..." He says, panting and trying his hardest to get back up.
Sonic walks up to him with Excalibur still in his hand. He looks down at Charlemagne and stretches out his hand to help him up. "You were amazing! I haven't had a fight that good in a while!" Sonic says, helping Charlemagne up and putting up his visor to see him better.
Charlemagne accepts his hand to help him up, but...
"What? But... why would you help me? You are going to slay my Paladins, are you not?"
Sonic smirks and shakes his head. "Of course not! I don't kill people, that's just not how I roll! Plus, why would I do anything to make you mad? After all you look just like this one guy I met a long time ago named Mighty."
Charlemagne nods his head and smiles. "Well then, I suppose this land does hold great skill and honour. I apologize for the misunderstanding."
"No problem! It was fun to battle someone who's just as good as me with my sword!" Sonic replies, giving Charlemagne the thumbs up.
"Well, it appears I must be going then. I have my own kingdom to rule over. Roland! Boiardo! Ariosto! Let us go." Charlemagne says as he and the rest of the Paladins leave Camelot with Sonic sending him off.

So yeah.
